Agency Apologizes for Health Card Blooper

The Sarajevo Canton’s public health insurer apologized for a design mistake on recently introduced electronic health cards and said that the issue is not a reason for major concern.

“While developing the electronic card, (the designer) made a technical error with the distribution of colors on the Sarajevo Canton emblem, which was corrected,” the public health insurance agency said.

The agency said that citizens will not have additional costs due to this.

“No financial damage was caused by the production of (faulty) cards. All citizens with insurance who collected their electronic health cards will receive new ones free of charge,” said the agency.

The faulty emblem on the first batch of health cards was likely downloaded from Wikipedia. The correct emblem can be found on the Sarajevo Canton government’s website.
