This year’s edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival, a documentary film competition event, will be held August 23-26 in Široki Brijeg.
The MMF director, Tomislav Topić, said that 45 documentaries will compete this year for the feature, short and audience awards. He said that the festival is proud of its workshop, which costs more than the festival’s competition program.
“Our guests are U.S. lecturers who worked with 30 children from Herzegovina on two short films, which will be screened at the festival opening.”
He said that the films made in earlier MFF workshops had won prestigious awards.
”Workshop makes sense; it popularizes the name of the place and the festival in the world, so we have young people who decide to study film”, Topić said.
The festival is supported by the U.S. Embassy to Bosnia and the Office of the EU Special Representative.
