An ancient Roman culture-themed fair was organized in Sarajevo’s Ilidža, at the site of a Roman settlement ruins. The fair visitors saw replicas of the Roman artifacts found in the Sarajevo region, tried dishes typical for the Roman era and wore clothes designed according to the Roman tradition.
The fair was organized by an organization of archaeologists, with support from the Ilidža municipality, the culture center and the local high school.
“The fair is organized to educate and entertain, with four workshops for children. Our goal was to create a new for of education about the cultural heritage and history,” said one of the organizers.
In addition to workshops, a lecture on Roman temples was given by an expert.
