An annual golf tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 29-30 in Sarajevo. 16 professional and 48 amateur golf players will take part in the ProAm tournament at the VF golf course.
Bosnia’s only professional golf player Dejan Šaran will compete in the ProAm against players from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey, the organizers said. Amateur players from Bosnia, Croatia and Montenegro are also expected at the tournament.
Five-time winner of the tournament, Slovenian Sebastijan Ajster, is tipped to be among the likely winners this year. He represented Bosnia at a European championship of professional golf players in Belek, Turkey earlier this year. Ajster will compete against Turkish professional golf player Hakan Yamac, who won the ProAm in Sarajevo last year.
Admission to the tournament is free.
