Four Bosnian poultry producers are approved for exporting to the European Union countries, according to a news website. Auditors of the European Union’s Directorate General for Health and Food Analysis have inspected the export-readiness of Agreks, Brovis, Madi and Ovako food makers and confirmed that the poultry production in those companies agrees with the EU standards.
The auditors arrived to Bosnia last week for an inspection of the country’s poultry production control system. They met with the representatives of Bosnian Veterinary Office in Sarajevo and representatives of the institutions and agencies that control the poultry production.
The Directorate General for Health and Food Safety carries out audits, inspections and related non-audit activities aimed at ensuring that EU legislation on food and feed safety, animal health, animal welfare, plant health and in the area of medical devices is properly implemented and enforced.
The auditors have previously approved export of Bosnian dairy products to the EU.
