The annual Diplomatic Winter Bazaar will take place this Saturday, 9 December, at Sarajevo’s Skenderija. Tickets for the charity event are KM 5 for adults and free for children under the age of 10, the organizers said.
Dozens of stands and booths were reserved weeks ahead of the Bazaar. Embassies, missions and local businesses will sell their products to raise money for children’s organizations in Bosnia. Those who feel lucky can buy a lottery ticket and win one of the many prizes the organizers advertised.
The main event – an auction – starts at 1 pm and the items provided by sponsors promise an interesting bidding. Among them a mini holiday in Greece for two and return plane tickets for Vienna. Bosnian football star Edin Džeko donated an autographed shirt for the auction, while Zlatan Ibrahimović sent a signed copy of his praised autobiography.
Last year, the Bazaar raised €65,000. The proceeds were donated to nine children’s organizations.
