“A Streetcar Named Desire” at SARTR

“A Streetcar Named Desire” by Tennessee Williams will be performed at SARTR (Sarajevo war theater) on Monday, December 11. The curtain lifts at 20h.

The production is part of the “Teatarski opservatorij” program, launched by SARTR, which aims to affirm young actors and directors. The play is directed by the ensemble, actors Dina Mušanović, Staša Dukić, Igor Skvarica and Alban Ukaj, mentored by Alen Muratović. Tickets at a price of KM 10 (€5) can be booked or bought at the theater two hours before the play.

“A Streetcar Named Desire” is a 1947 play written by American playwright Tennessee Williams that received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1948. The play opened on Broadway on December 3, 1947, and closed on December 17, 1949, in the Ethel Barrymore Theater. The Broadway production was directed by Elia Kazan and starred Jessica Tandy, Marlon Brando, Karl Malden and Kim Hunter.
