New Year’s Eve in Sarajevo: Tips

The city is traditionally dotted with public and private New Year’s parties. In case you don’t have plans yet but want to do something on Sunday evening, here are a few interesting places.

There is always the city-sponsored outdoor party, this year organized at the SCC mall plaza. The star of the evening at the outdoor party is Zdravko Čolić, a Sarajevo-born singer who came to fame in former Yugoslavia with his pop hits.

No reservations are needed for the party at The Bar, starting from 7 pm on Sunday. The place is a small jazz and blues bar, so expect a more personal experience.

A more sophisticated New Year’s party is hosted by the SOne Sky Bar on the rooftop of Marriot. Lana Hamza band will play on December 31. There is a KM20 (€10) individual admission fee though, and parties of 4 and more need a reservation.
